Testing options and levels of testing :-
Each car can have its own unique problems some simple to find some more complex and involved as we don’t know and cannot predict how complex your car issues are we offer a scaled approach with our fault testing. At each level we will contact you and advise of our progress in finding your cars fault and advise if we need to progress to the next level.

Tier 1 non intrusive vehicle Assessment
This is our recommended level of testing offering a comprehensive testing plan covering all key areas of the running of your car.
We use our own specialist techniques many developed over 43 years with the leading vehicle trainers in the U.K

1. Client consultation gives our technicians the opportunity to gather important and relevant information about your problem

2. Inspecting the vehicle with you ensures that our understanding of your fault is in line with yours

3. All vehicle systems are interrogated for current and historic faults

4. Technical service bulletins are consulted for known issues and software updates Extra costs for manufactures information may be incurred.

5. System live data is evaluated highlighting anomalies and identify tests required to identify the cause of your fault

6. Technical information is consulted to ensure accurate testing

7. Test results analysed and client called with recommendations

“Each fault is different so the final cost of diagnosis depends on the number and type of tests required for your vehicle. Our initial evaluation costs £108.00 this typically includes points 1 through 7.”
There may be costs to access manufacturer’s data and technical bulletins this is charged at cost typically £12 to £25.

“Should the number of tests required exceed the initial evaluation then we will need to move onto level 2 as listed below we’ll contact you with our recommendations.”

Tier 2 Intrusive in depth investigation

This is in depth testing including ,Scope Testing Of Components , Strip And Inspect Components \ Where Necessary \ Relative Compression Testing \ Where Necessary \Wiring Checks Of Components \ Where Necessary \Fuel Pressure And Flow Testing \ Where Necessary \ Inlet Pressurised Smoke Testing \ Where Necessary

Tier 2 intrusive investigation incurs an additional cost of £120 inc vat we will then contact you with our findings. Further investigation if required over level 1 and 2 will be discussed including any repair costs or parts that may be required to achieve an effective repair

Vehicle must be left with us for a minimum of a day we do not work on a while you wait basis.

We require a reasonable volume of fuel for testing a half of a tank is ideal.

Battery drains: – we will require the vehicle for a minimum of three days and there is a minimum of three hours diagnostic time involved.

For priority bookings requiring same day attention:-

We will take a payment of £108.00 during booking, this payment of £108.00 is not a deposit. It is for a time session allocation. If you miss your booking, cancel at short notice (we require two days working notice to change or cancel) if not the payment cannot be refunded. We can only refund the time allocated payment if we managed to fill the slot with another job at short notice.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT THERE IS AT LEAST HALF A TANK OF FUEL IN YOUR VEHICLE ON ARRIVAL SO WE CAN TEST / ROAD TEST
